Learn how to set up and use the Wave invoice integration for monday.com
Introduction
Wave invoice integration app provides a board view, that allows you to
import, create & edit, CustomersProducts & Invoices right from monday.com. You can also
approve or send invoices. Send messages to customers when an
invoice is due. And automatically sync changes to Customers, Products & Invoices in wave to your
monday.com boards.
The app also provides integration recipes that creates customers & invoices. The
recipes are tailored to fit your CRM, sales & business process.

1 - App Installation
Install 'Wave invoice integration' app from this

After installing the app, there are 2 options Start with a template or
Start with your own workspace
Start with a template: If this option is selected, a folder named 'Wave
integration Template' will be added to the workspace of your choice. The folder will have
all the default board templates. List of the templates are below
Invoices: This board will have all the suggested columns to manage your
wave invoices. To import, create & edit invoices add the 'Wave integration view'.
Customers: This board will have all the suggested columns to manage
your wave customers. To import, create & edit customers add the 'Wave integration view'.
Products: This board will have all the suggested columns to manage your
wave products. To import, create & edit products add the 'Wave integration view'.
Draft invoices: This board can be used to trigger invoice creation in
wave from monday.com status changes. This board requires customers & products boards to
be set up with 'Wave integration view'.
Leads: This board can be used to trigger, customer & invoice creation
OR create invoice for existing customer, from monday.com status changes. The invoice
created can be for one or multiple products. This board requires products board to be
set up with 'Wave integration view'.
Start with your own workspace: If you selected this option, Wave
integration board view & integration recipes will be installed in the workspace. Follow the
steps below to setup up board views that works for your needs.
2 - Enabling Wave Integration Board View
To install the board view, Click on 'Add view' button -> select 'Apps' -> choose 'wave integration
view' option.
3 - Invoice Board View Setup
Install the Wave integration board view as shown above.
Once the view is loaded, connect your wave account by clicking on 'Wave authentication'. This
will open a window to grant the access to wave account.
Note: If you have issues with wave authentication, login to wave in a new tab
and try again.
Next, grant access to update your monday.com boards by clicking on 'monday authentication'.
After 'monday authentication' is completed, Mapping settings will be displayed. Choose 'Invoice'
as the entity to map. This will display all the columns in the board on the left & a selectable
list of wave invoice properties. Map the columns to the corresponding wave property. Status is a
required mapping.
Now the import settings will be displayed, You can choose to import 'All' invoices, 'By date' or
skip.
If you choose to import invoices, this step will display the number of invoices available to
import. Click on import. Import progress will be displayed, once the import is complete you will
see a message.
Next click on View table, this will show the table of imported invoices. If you skip import
invoices, you will see the table as well. You can come back to the import settings from the
table, by clicking on the gear icon on the top right.

To create a new invoice, click on the '+ Invoice' button in the top right. This will open the
invoice form, all your customers & products (with default taxes) will be automatically available
in the form. Select all the appropriate information and click on 'Save' or 'Save Draft'. To edit
an existing invoice, click on the pencil symbol in the 'edit' column of the table. This will
open the invoice form with all the information populated, you can edit and save the invoice.

To 'Approve' or send a reminder message for an invoice. Click on the pencil icon under the edit
column in the table. This will open the invoice form, click on 'v' icon next to 'save' button,
it will open a menu with options 'Approve', 'Send' & 'Mark Sent'. Only Draft invoices can be
approved. Only approved or saved invoice, can me sent or marked sent.
4 - Customers & Products Board View Setup
Install the Wave integration board view as shown above in section '2 - Enabling Wave integration
board view'.
Once the view is loaded, connect your wave account by clicking on 'Wave authentication'. This
will open a window to grant the access to wave account.
If you have not granted access to update your monday.com boards earlier, a 'monday
authentication' button will appear. Please grant authentication now.
Now mapping settings will be available. Select 'Customer' or 'Product' depending on the board
type. Mapping settings will display all the columns in the board on the left & a selectable list
of wave invoice properties. Map the columns to the corresponding wave property.

Next the import settings will be displayed, You can choose to import 'All' , 'By date' or skip.
If you choose to import, this step will display the number of Customers / Products available to
import. Click on import. Import progress will be displayed, once the import is complete you will
see a message.
Next click on View table, this will show the table of imported customers/products. If you skip
import, you will see the table as well. You can come back to the import settings from the table,
by clicking on the gear icon on the top right.

To create a new customer or product, click on the '+ Customer' or '+ Product' button in the top
right. This will open the form, Select all the appropriate information and click on 'Save'. To
edit existing customer or product, click on the pencil symbol in the 'edit' column of the table.

5 - Sync Changes from Wave
Auto Sync: You can choose to automatically sync all your changes from wave in
to your monday.com boards. This includes changes in wave like invoice status updates, creating
or editing invoice/customers/products. To enable this click on the 'gear' icon at the top right
while in the table page of 'wave integration view' -> click on 'Auto-sync' & choose a frequency
to sync. NOTE: You have to do this for each of the invoice, customer & product
view. Each sync will count as an action.
Manual Sync: If you do not want to wait for the automatic sync to trigger, you
can force a manual sync. To do this, click on the 'gear' icon at the top right while in the
table page of 'wave integration view' -> click on 'Sync now'. This will trigger the sync wait
for a while for it to complete. Each manual sync counts as an action.
